Clearer progress reports on government projects are being sought ahead of Monday's Budget. Economist Ronald Ramkissoon says taxpayers should be told how far projects have advanced and why work has been delayed. The government's investment programme records provisional development spending for fiscal twenty-twenty-five at about three-point-nine billion dollars, against an original allocation of five-point-seven billion. That difference does not establish that money was lost or wasted.

Tobago's new A. N. R. Robinson International Airport terminal is scheduled to open on Tuesday, October thirteenth. The Office of the Prime Minister has confirmed the opening is planned for the coming week. Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Chief Secretary Farley Augustine are expected at Tuesday's ceremony.

There is a sixty per cent chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorm in a few areas today. The Meteorological Service expects cloudy conditions and intermittent rain to give way to sunshine by mid-afternoon. Gusty winds and street or flash flooding are possible during heavy showers. Tonight should be mostly clear, with an occasional shower.
