Outstanding school grants expected by 21 September

Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath says all approved applicants still waiting for their 2026 School Supplies and Book Grant are expected to receive payment by Monday, 21 September. He gave the assurance while answering an Urgent Question in the House of Representatives on Friday, 11 September.

The announcement addresses parents whose approved grants remain outstanding. It is an expected payment deadline, rather than confirmation that all payments have already reached families.

In a separate school update, Dowlath said work to address a bat infestation at St Hilda’s Government Primary School in Belmont was expected over the weekend of 12–13 September, with reopening planned for Monday.
