Nestlé distribution changes affect 46 local jobs – Wack.TV

Forty-six employees in Nestlé’s local sales and warehousing operations are affected by its move to third-party distribution, the company says in a statement quoted in reporting published on 20 October.

The company says 30 employees have accepted voluntary separation packages and 16 have been retrenched, with employment changes taking effect between November and December. The figures should not be read as 46 workers all having already left their jobs.

The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union says discussions continue in an effort to reduce compulsory separations. The possible sale of the Valsayn factory is a separate matter from the distribution restructuring.
