WACK News synthesis · Published 7 October 2026 · 7 AM edition

Flooding and landslides in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have damaged homes, blocked roads and affected health services. Emergency officials are urging continued caution.

The National Emergency Management Organisation’s 6 October update followed heavy overnight rain. It said flooding affected two health facilities and warned people near rivers and unstable slopes to take care. Roads were blocked by floodwater and landslides. This report does not assume that school closures announced for 6 October continue on 7 October, or that affected roads have since reopened.
