Culture and Community Development Minister Michelle Benjamin announced that Slinger Francisco, the Mighty Sparrow, will receive a State-assisted funeral. TTT reported the announcement on 30 September, and Parliament’s sitting record independently confirms her statement on the calypsonian’s passing. A ministry team is working with his family on the arrangements. Condolence books are scheduled at the Ministry, NAPA, SAPA and Shaw Park Complex from 1 to 14 October, between 10 am and 4 pm; municipal corporations join from 5 October.
