The Local Government Ministry says flooding affected about fifteen households in the Cedros district on October third. Teams were assessing damage and providing cleaning supplies and clean-up support. The Ministry also reported bank-full rivers around Icacos and urged residents to avoid floodwater.

Transport Minister Eli Zakour says Caribbean Airlines added seven thousand seats for Tobago Carnival. In an October third report, he said eighty-eight percent had already sold, and talks were under way about adding more. That figure is not a live measure of seat availability.

Social Development Minister Vandana Mohit is defending proposed higher age limits for alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and gambling. She says the changes would help protect young people. Parliament records show the bill has passed the House and received its first reading in the Senate. The proposals are not yet law.

In regional news, Buckingham Palace says King Charles will address Britain's slavery legacy during his upcoming Caribbean tour, but will not formally apologise. The Palace says apologies and reparations are matters for the British Government. The tour includes the Bahamas, Guyana, and Antigua and Barbuda.

In international news, G-seven countries agreed on October second to release one hundred million barrels of oil and fuel reserves over four months, with substantial diesel releases within twenty days. Reuters says it is unclear how much overlaps with an earlier commitment.

In sport, West Indies women beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets on October third to take a one-nil lead in their T-twenty series. Cricket West Indies lists the second match for October fifth, at six A.M. Trinidad and Tobago time.

That's WACK News.
