Pension and assistance grants set for $250 monthly increase

The Government proposes to increase the Senior Citizens’ Grant, Public Assistance and Disability Assistance by TT$250 a month from 1 January 2027.

Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo set out the increases in his Budget presentation on 12 October. Each Public Assistance tier would receive the increase. Disability Assistance covers adults and eligible children. The payments have not increased under this announcement yet.
