Proman moves to reduce staffing amid gas constraints

Proman is reducing its workforce as uncertain natural-gas supplies limit consistent full-capacity operation of its Trinidad plants, according to a report published on 24 September.

The report describes a 23 September staff message from chief executive David Cassidy linking staffing changes to current production levels and a wider review of the company’s costs and structure. Proman’s public response confirmed an organisational review and said consultations were continuing.
