Teachers’ arrears paid in Trinidad; Tobago still awaiting settlement

Most teachers in Trinidad have received their outstanding salary payments for 2020 to 2023, according to TTUTA president Crystal Ashe. A small number whose payments were not reflected on the IHIRIS payslip system were directed to arrangements for payment by voucher.

Tobago teachers remain an important exception. TTUTA’s Tobago officer Deon Rodriguez said the union had been told at a 15 September meeting that the arrears should be paid by the end of the month.
