The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service reported that 395 people held under public detention orders had been released after revocation orders were executed. The figures were issued following the end of the state of emergency on 17 September.

The service said 569 revocation orders had been executed as of that date. Of those affected, 174 remained in custody on other matters. The figures distinguish the cancellation of an emergency detention order from a person’s release where another legal basis for custody remains.
